Elsworth at the Mill Wedding Photography
5,479 days ago, Laura and Danny became official – exactly fifteen years to the day before their wedding. They met at teenagers at a theatre club, starring in Footloose together. They fancied each other from afar, and when Laura admitted she liked Danny back, it was the best day of his life – until yesterday.
Laura & Danny’s love is as beautiful as love can get. The sun shone through the window panes of Elsworth at the Mill as they read their personal vows to each other. The rays hit my lens glass and refracting off of it, creating a beautiful rainbow effect perfectly in between them – ain’t that something? And their vows were just about some of the most beautiful I’ve heard this year, even North Yorkshire registrar Janice Heathcote, who’s daughter’s wedding I photographed and I see just about every other week at weddings, was in tears watching these two people she’d just met read their vows. A lump was heavy in my throat too.
Both professional singers, they sang their way into married life having a first song in place of a first dance. The guests were a whole host of talent, singing during the reception and joyous dancing throughout. I bumped into Thomas of the Undercover waiters who seeing as a guest and not undercover for once was lovely, and he read out one of my favourite poems – Harry Baker’s ‘Dust’, perfectly.
Myself and Barney had an absolute ball capturing Laura & Danny’s love, and sharing in all the awesome fun these two and all their friends had, it was a privilege. Thank you so much for having us you two, and for our branded lens cloths, so so kind! Most of all thanks for just being amazing and creating some incredible memories that’ll last forever x
