Stonyhurst College & Tithe Barn, Bolton Abbey Wedding Photography
On Saturday, the hottest day of 2023, Ellie & Harrison tied the knot at the very place they met ten years ago… at school! Now, getting married at your school is quite unusual, but I can see why they chose to do it at Stonyhurst College. It is the most stunning setting and such a special place for a wedding, the building and grounds make you feel like you’re in a movie, its just incredible.
And it got even more cinematic when a helicopter came to fly Ellie & Harrison (and a very luck me!) to the Tithe Barn at Bolton Abbey for the reception. The 20 minute flight was glorious on such a fine day, and the speed meant we beat all the guests making the 50 minute drive over.
The Tithe Barn looked absolutely stunning, filled with so many flowers, I don’t think I’ve seen it look so magnificent before. In such heat, Harrison’s Dad’s surprise ice sculpture to the couple was a much welcomed refreshing addition to the wedding, especially as you could pour drinks down the centre and drink from pipes popping out of the sides.
It was a mega day. I counted that I was out for 17 and a half hours for their wedding, and I photographed a scandalous number of images. Here’s a select first few I’m super excited to share with you all. Enjoy, and thanks so much again Ellie & Harrison for having me be such a big part of your day. Riding with you guys in the helicopter will be an experience I’ll never forget – thank you 🙂
