Barn at Botley Hill colourful wedding photography

A wedding dress whose sleeves will be remembered for generations. Tremendous celebrations between thunderous downpours and triumphant sunshine. Champagne sprayed and flowed, as did tears of joy for Jessie & Joe.

I don’t think I’ve seen a more incredible sunset this year. The Barn at Botley Hill lends itself to it, overlooking a beautiful valley stretching for miles where the sun sets within it. The sunset was sensationally timed both between the rain and just after the singing waiters finished – if we’d gone ten minutes later, we’d have had no sunset pics. I know how much they wanted one so it was meant to be!

I met Jessie & Joe at one of their best friends’ weddings I photographed in 2022, Evangeline & Aedryan’s, with Joe being best man! It was an honour to be remembered and have kept in touch with them to join them for their own big day. We had perhaps the hottest London pre-wedding shoot ever in searing heat, but the pics were unreal and after a few pints with them, I knew their wedding was going to be a showstopper.
