White Sykes Fields Wedding Photography

I’m super excited to share Steph & Nick’s wedding photography at White Sykes Fields!

Steph & Nick met the old fashioned way, in a bar! Steph’s friend encouraged her to go and talk to the handsome stranger we now know as Nick at the bar, and the rest is history. They’re an absolutely wonderful couple, filled with joy and happiness, which they shared so wonderfully with all their guests. A very good pair of human beings, and it was a privilege to capture their happiness.

Ticking off another wonderful York country wedding venue, it was my first time photographing a wedding at White Sykes Field in Sand Hutton. It’s a proper Yorkshire farm wedding venue, with barns, tractors, fields and everything! In between the torrential rains that kept sweeping through this Saturday in August, I swept Steph & Nick away for some quick portrait and group shots across some of the photography locations the farm has to offer.

My personal highlights/photos from the day were:

– the ridiculous attempts at the human triangle, and the piles of tipsy laughing guests rolling round on the floor after them. It was hilarious.

-Toby the pooch falling asleep in Steph’s arms during the wedding ceremony at White Sykes.

– The magical moment when a very special bee landed on Steph’s bouquet. One of her best friends that she tragically lost a few years ago’s favourite animal was a bee, and the bee there was her in spirit. Steph brought this moment up in her speech, which was beautiful. I’m so glad to have caught this moment.

Thanks so much for having me Steph & Nick, what a whirlwind of an action packed wedding, full of love and colour for me to snap to my heart’s content. It was such a pleasure hanging with you and all the gang. Congratulations x
