A Gloriously sunny day, and incredible party for Rebecca & Luke at East Riddlesden Hall

Leeds Barn Wedding Venue. Rebecca and Luke enjoyed such a gloriously sunny day at one of my favourite venues I’m lucky to regularly shoot at, East Riddlesden Hall.

The story began at Hollins Hall, where both Team Bride and Team Groom got ready in the morning. It was lovely to be reunited with one of the top make up artist’s in the Yorkshire area, Natalie Willingham in the morning as she glammed the girls up. Luke, fresh from his morning room, got suited and booted with the boys on the next floor up. A highlight for me was when the two best men compared their speeches together. One was typed up neatly, and the other scribbled all over the page in red pen! All speeches are so individual, and these were no exception!

Off to East Riddlesden Hall for the wedding ceremony, where Luke stood at the aisle nervously, as Rebecca arrived in a stunning red vintage car. With a lovely ceremony delivered very finely by the registrar who was coincidentally one of the Best Man’s sister! Good to be in safe, comfortable hands! Rebecca and Luke then danced out into a shower of confetti, in time for drinks and canapés served by my good friend James Brown’s Nomad Catering. The sun was out, and it was nicely warm as we all mingled out and took a few relaxed group shots in between.

I was delighted to see Rebecca and Luke had Mr & Mrs Balloons, which I’ve not actually ever photographed before, which was a really fun first for me! We walked round the gardens in the sun, it was a lovely break away from the chaos of the day for the two of them. After a 15 minute walk for portraits, as everyone walked into sit down, I had them back in perfect timing to enter and crack on with speeches.

It wasn’t long till the drinks started flowing a little faster, and Back Chat Brass arrived to rock a crazy set of interactive brass band playing. I love photographing brass bands at weddings. They’re such a unique type of band to have, and every one has their own style and way of getting the guests swinging ands dancing together. What was really lovely was Rebecca & Luke’s first dance. Rebecca’s a big time dancer outside of work, and taught Luke the tricks to get them waltzing across the dance floor, with half the guests’ jaws on the floor, they were so good!
