Turns out a lot can happen when you ask someone out for a beer and okra fries…
That’s how it started for Sophie & Phoebe at Bundobust, then on Saturday they sealed their love forever at Hyde Park Picture House. They’re massive movie fans so to have your wedding in a cinema and then a huge dance party outside with a brass band, it was nothing short of an Oscar winning wedding!!
On our enquiry call we envisioned Back Chat Brass leading everyone between Hyde Park Picture House and Left Bank Leeds, and then being in that real moment on Saturday where it all came to life, I said to the girls ‘ I can’t believe this is literally happening right now!’ We danced down Brudenell Road as hungover students peered gleaming out of front doors and drivers stopped to shout their congratulations.
The sun shone on Left Bank, with rays of light gleaming into the space, truly beautiful – I love this venue. The drag queens who host Leeds legendary drag night Glamourpussy, had everyone running around in a scavenger hunt for bras, vapes and gay men after flirting their way through introducing the speech givers to the pulpit.
Then it crescendoed into a massive dance party, with almost every guest filling up the dance floor through the night. I still don’t know if everyone made it out after the wedding to Viaduct … did you? I can’t wait to find out!
Congratulations Sophie & Phoebe, what a journey it’s been! I can’t believe it’s happened, it was incredible. Thank you for having me, and for everyone being such beautiful people at your wedding too
