Zoe & Kari’s Wet, Windy and Wonderful Wedding at the Holmfirth Vineyard

Holmfirth Vineyard Wedding Photography. Last Saturday I joined the lovely Zoe and Kari on a very wet and windy day up at the Holmfirth Vineyard. It’s a cosy venue with a stunning view over a classic Bronte Country looking valley. Unfortunately the weather really was not on our side, but with some cute brollies and hardy attitudes, the day turned out brilliant.
I joined Zoe first in the Vineyard accommodation where her girls were glamming up and getting ready, then I dashed off to Coddy’s Farm where Kari slipped into her dress and the day began. With a 4pm ceremony, it was a race against the light for me, and it was such a great idea to have Zoe & Kari do a first look. It’s an American tradition that I think is such a wonderful thing to do. So before the ceremony, the girls meet each other and surprised themselves as they hadn’t seen each other’s dresses until then. It was a magical moment, especially as Kari turned round from the scenic view to look to Zoe coming down the path.
From there we went on a portrait shoot to get out of the way of the guests arriving so no one saw us! Kari was really good about her dress. Since it was long, it did drag along the floor, and with it raining so much, it got soaked. I actually had to ring it out three times! That was a wedding first haha. But it still looked great, and we cracked on till it was marrying time.
There was another first in the ceremony too, as one of Kari’s bridesmaids walked down the aisle and full on tripped over and crashed to the floor, which I’ve never seen before. But she was in incredibly high spirits and found it hilarious, as she bounced back up. I actually caught the blurred expression of her face as she tripped, which you may have noticed above in the photos!
After a lovely ceremony, the rain had miraculously stopped, so I rushed everyone outside for the group photos and did the line ups smoothly and quickly. And just as I had done the last one, it was way too dark to do anymore. We’d made it!
The evening came in quickly and before we knew it, it was party time. It was a brilliant first dance to watch, as Kari spun Zoe round and her dress flowed out. Everyone hit the dancefloor, and partied on through the night.
Thanks so much for having me Zoe & Kari, congratulations once again and I hope you love the pics!
