East Keswick Village Hall Wedding | Gee & Alex | Leeds Wedding Photographer Hamish Irvine
Gee and Alex’s East Keswick Village Hall wedding was the greatest party I’ve photographed so far this year. They had so much fun at their wedding and it was such a privilege to capture. Even I caught the party bug and ended up going out on the town after the wedding!
There’s too much I want to talk about, so I’ll leave the pictures for that. But amongst all the moments I wish to write about … Elvis impersonators, games of fives, Oceana circa 2011, the newly ordained minster Rory, gale force winds and their effect on veils, stag do stripper whipping…
The outstanding moment for me (and will be for many of the guests) was Gee’s spontaneous bouquet toss and consequential fence fail. Gee spontaneously jokingly tossed the bouquet into the hands of one very lucky lady. She wooped and screamed over to her partner. He turns around in horror and just starts legging it towards the fields. He comes to a fence, throws his legs over it and the wooden plank just breaks in two, and he completely face plants through the fence, into the ground. The entire wedding is watching, and is now on the floor laughing. And I caught the whole thing. Scroll down, you’ve got to see it.
Since G+A were officially wed on Wednesday (see their story I captured here in Harrogate) it was a really relaxed and chilled out day. It was my first time shooting a wedding at East Keswick Village Hall. For a Leeds wedding venue, it’s so conveniently close to the city yet feels so perfectly far away. It’s a really cute and down to earth place for a celebration, overlooking wonderful views. I hope I can return again for another wedding!
Congrats again Gee and Alex, thank you for having me capture your day. Hope you love the pics x
