Camblesforth Hall Wedding Photography
Wow. Camblesforth Hall, what a venue. And Georgia & Shem, you are a photographer’s dream!
I was absolutely taken by the historic manor Camblesforth Hall and the newly renovated barns. I won’t forget when Georgia & Shem first booked and they sent me a drawing of Camblesforth Grange as it was still under construction, and look at it now! In the glorious golden hour light, Camblesforth Hall looks like we’re in an Italian villa. Just amazing.
The epic Selby Abbey is a breathtaking wedding venue to get married at. The sheer size of it and grandeur inside makes it a playground for a photographer. I enjoyed the snapping the traditional ceremony inside, then hopping outside for a more untraditional post-ceremony ice-cream, making for one of my favourite photos of the day.
I think everyone can agree with me, everyone at the wedding got quite smashed! The Polish tradition of a bottle of vodka on each table, and shotting every time somone shouts ‘OPPA!’ through the speeches, meal and the rest of the night, really got the party going early in the day. The dance-floor was a riot, especially with Shem’s Dad, who’s wild, raging moves inspired us all to get down even harder. A hearty selection of traditional Polish meats was on offer too during the reception, which I did tuck into quite thoroughly!
I loved that a few things went wrong at their wedding – Shem dropping Georgia at the end of the aisle in Selby Abbey, as myself and Barney captured the entire thing from a balcony with an incredible view. Then when cutting the cake, the cake fell down onto the ground from Shem’s enthusiastic cutting style. It’s these moments that I love to capture and show – not everything is perfect, which makes amazing wedding photography I think.
Georgia & Shem, thank you so much for making me such a big part of your day. I had the best time joining you, and I can’t wait for you to see all the rest of the photos!
