That dress. That suit. Those smiles. Alex & Max’s intimate wedding across Manchester City centre was summit else!
Alex & Max love Manchester and the home they’ve made in Ancoats. I don’t think in its history, Ancoats will have seen as wonderful a wedding as Alex & Max’s within its walls.
Alex’s Jane Hill dress, bought from Marrime Bridalwear in Newcastle is one to behold. The sleeves are adorned with stunning patterns. It fitted Alex like a glove, and alongside Max in his trim velvet tuxedo, the pair of them looked a treat.
Manchester city centre intimate wedding
They had an intimate wedding across Manchester city centre, with just 14 guests in the daytime, going up to 50 in the evening. We started, all getting ready together at their converted mill apartment, before having the wedding ceremony at Manchester registry office. After sealing the deal, they hopped across the rainy road to Haunt for their first drinks as a married couple. Just round the corner was St Peters Square, providing some lovely spaces for some portraits, in between all the congratulations and well wishes from kind passers by.
And after some snaps in the rain, we were treated to a memorable tasting menu at Higher Ground. Exceptional food and service, their low-key wedding was made really special by the restaurant. After seven magnificent courses, we jumped in taxis back to Alex & Max’s flat for espresso martinis whipped up by the boys. With caffeine and vodka surging, it was perfect timing to take the Manchester wedding to the Jane Eyre, an Ancoats bar, privately hired for the night.
Alex & Max’s open bar with their own branded beer kept the drink flowing and the party going. Guests armed with bubble-guns and cocktails partied to a playlist of indie bangers containing lots of Arctic Monkeys till late, and it was brilliant.
Alex & Max, thank you SO much for having me along for your adventure, and inviting me in so intimately with your friends and family. I had the loveliest time with you guys x
