Asylum Chapel Wedding Photographer. I’m in London Kings Cross right now waiting for my train home, working on Jenny and James’ pics from yesterday, and I just can’t stop smiling looking at their photos!
I am so, so happy these guys booked me. Getting to know J+J as friends, then experience and capture their family and friends come together so wonderfully to celebrate them has been a pleasure.
We kicked the day off at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in a whirlwind of preparations…from tears of reunion to confused windsor tie knotting and even exploding bottles of champers going everywhere made for an exciting morning!
Then we were off to the Asylum Chapel (my favourite ceremony venue) in Peckham. It’s a truly unique venue of peeling paint and epic colours. With our couple officially marrying three weeks ago, James’ Brother delivered a fantastically entertaining, and touching ceremony. We grabbed the groups, downed the drinks, smashed some confetti in their faces and boarded two big red buses, chanting and singing all the way to Drift Bar.
After a good couple of hours of solid mingling, the wedding sat down for dinner interspersed with some beautifully honest speeches. James described so brightly how he feels for Jenny, it was a heartwarming speech. Also, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a wedding chant so much for a Mother of the Groom, she is one popular lady!
Night descended, providing the perfect opportunity to capture some striking portraits in the city lights (definitely check them out at the bottom!). And so the party began, with numerous guests exhibiting some both questionable and spectacular dancing!
