Gray’s Court Wedding Photography | Rhiannon and Ross’ Wedding | York Wedding Photographer
Gray’s Court Wedding Photography. As York Wedding venues go, Gray’s Court stands out to me as my favourite. Last weekend was a weekend I’ve been waiting for all year. Set in the brightest and warmest sun they could’ve wished for, Rhiannon and Ross celebrated their marriage in the most intimate and perfect of settings.
With only just over thirty guests, R+R shared a relaxed and intimate wedding with their close family. I joined the story in the morning to find downstairs Ross was building a rather fancy, colourful macaroon tower cake and upstairs, Rhiannon was slipping into her stunning dress, perfect timing!
The two tied the knot in Gray’s Court little summerhouse. It was a lovely moment in the peaceful garden overlooked by the Castle Barr walls, the house, and not to mention a few sneaky tourists taking a peep from the walls too! In a flash they were Mr and Mrs, striding through the confetti and straight to the champagne.
I had plenty of time to do my favourite thing, capturing the Bride and Groom and their guests laughing and catching up with each other, and documenting all those special heartwarming moments we see at weddings. After a few group shots, we walked around the gardens, grabbing some laid back portraits, and of course walking down Chapter House Street, overlooked by the Minster, making this cobbled street possibly the most iconic setting for a wedding portrait in the city.
And In we went to sit down for a witty speech delivered by Father of the Bride, before Rhiannon and Ross said a few thank yous before settling down for quite a meal.
I have to say a massive thank you, and give a few props to the other Rhiannon of the day, the coordinator of Gray’s Court, for being as ever, brilliant at running such a stunning venue and making R+R’s day extra special. I just love this venue too much, and the excellent team behind it.
Congratulations Rhiannon and Ross, I hope you’re having simply the best time in Greece currently, and I hope you enjoy viewing these photographs as much as I did capturing them for you. Thanks for having me x
