Weddings are pretty awesome right? The sun’s out, guests soaking it up with beers in hand, the couple’s simply smitten with each other and we’re in the most perfect setting for it; it doesn’t get much better than this.
Jenn and Adam shared their day at Yorkshire wedding treasure, East Riddlesden Hall on Friday. Adam woke early for a morning swim (or more of a lazy hot tub sesh apparently haha) as I joined Jenn and the girls at Hollins Hall Hotel. I’ve got to say, I loved Jenn’s dress, it was elegant and stunning, just suited her so well. I ran over to the other side of the hotel to capture Adam get suited and booted into his garms, also of equal elegance of course!
All before Jenn hopped into this beautiful vintage Morris Minor with her Dad to East Riddlesden for an emotional ceremony, Jenn’s tears were streaming along with their guests! They made their exit into an explosion of confetti before being chauffeured in the buggy to the drinks reception on the other side of the Hall (very royal). Where the Hog and Apple served up the classiest looking fish and chips I’ve seen as I was zipping between groups of guests capturing conversations before we all headed back over to the barn for what were some spicy speeches!
Adam and his new father in law delivered beautiful speeches, and an interesting football analogy from the groom himself not to forget! However, Adam’s Best Man delivered an absolute scorcher of a speech, burning the groom down, no mercy, it was hilarious. There’s a shot below which sums it up in one of A+J’s reaction, it tells the story in one!
The summer sun then set into this lovely soft golden hue, so I whisked the couple away for a walk in the wheat field tucked away behind the venue. It was a really relaxing contrast to the exciting buzz of the wedding, which is why I love evening portrait shoots not only for the light. You take a minute to reflect, catch up with your partner, and breathe.
The party had a late start as the drinks flowed in the late sun and a football was introduced to the crowd. A shoot out quickly erupted with 86 year old Grandad smashing one straight past his grandson into the back of the imaginary goal marked by hay stacks! The guests made their way into the barn as night fell and the party really started (some interesting dance moves there guys haha).
Have the best time in Bali, thanks so much for having me, it really was the most superb day. I hope you LOVE the pics!
