Gibson Mill Wedding Photography | Helen and Resh’s Wedding | Hardcastle Crags Wedding Photographer
Bright sunshine, brilliant people and one beautiful setting for a wedding absolutely made my Saturday last week! Helen and Resh tied the knot at Gibson Mill, a beautiful 19th century self powered mill, hidden away in the dense forestry of the National Trust’s Hardcastle Crags in Hebden Bridge.
After meeting H+R and new their new wee addition to their family, baby Savannah, a couple of months ago for their pre wedding shoot, I was excited to return back to Hardcastle for what I knew would be a quirky, relaxed and colourful celebration.
The day began as the temperatures soared, the sun came out and I spotted this little toad you can see below chillin’ in the shade whilst walking down the path to the mill. The guests soon arrived trundling down the pathway to join the bride and groom for a smashing ceremony followed by drinks out in the sunshine by the river, confetti and photos. Then it was back inside for speeches and a spread, provided by local cafe, Towngate Tea Rooms in Heptonstall- very tasty.
Aprés afternoon tea, everyone went their separate ways for a couple of hours for a break in the day to all re-convene at the Hebden Bridge Town Hall a few hours later to welcome a ton more guests, and enjoy a seriously good curry buffet from the Aagrah (coincidentally my favourite curry house…. I had a very good time). And it was into the night the party went as I left when darkness fell and the kids couldn’t stop ‘flossing’, which I still definitely can’t do myself.
Thank you so much Helen and Resh, I simply loved capturing your big day, hope you love the pics x
