Rudding Park Wedding Photography
I think photographing Rob’s reaction to Sami walking down the aisle was a highlight of the year so far for me. With his boys lined up beside him, the frame was set up so beautifully as the church doors opened, revealing Sami and her Dad. The tears rolled down his cheeks, the simplicity of such a raw emotion was beautiful to capture as a photographer.
We had the legendary Father Ian of Rudding Park’s chapel conduct the ceremony in his wonderfully happy, relaxed and hilarious style. He even got me involved half way through! One of the best moments though was when Sami & Rob tricked one of the best men into thinking he’d forgotten the rings. Father Ian called him for the rings, as he went to his pocket for them, he found they weren’t there. The guests were none the wiser, and the look of horror spread like a plague across all the faces (just brilliant!). Then other best man ran out of the church doors, and moments later returned with Sami & Rob’s sausage dogs, carrying the rings themselves as they barked and zig-zagged down the aisle.
There were so many more epic moments and wonderful emotions through the day. But I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking for me!
Sami & Rob, thank you so so much for having me join your day and become so close to you both and all your friends and family. I’m sure you’re having the best honeymoon right now, and I hope these pics make it even better!
