Happy 1 Week Anniversary Anna & Giles!
And what a crazy last couple of weeks it’s been! A & G were originally due to marry on the 7th November 2020, but when Boris’s lockdown 2.0 was announced, they day was to be cancelled. My heart sank in time with so many couples and families across the country. But I soon after received a message from these special two… are you free for an emergency wedding in 2 days time on Tuesday?? Yes I absolutely am, book it now!! And here we are, they’re married, in the nick of time!
So last Tuesday I was back at a ridiculously bright and sunny Hornington Manor to join Giles and team groom. The manor was looking particularly brilliant with florist Laura Green doing a spectacular autumnal job. With their ceremony at a new time of 4.30pm, and it getting dark pretty early these days, it was great to get as many pics in this summery looking light.
Anna was jumping in her dress over in York at her parent’s beaut house. Her bridesmaids dressed in ivy green velvet looked the picture alongside her. They arrived at the Bar Convent, a towering old nunnery, and Anna’s old school in central York, as Giles stood patiently at the altar upstairs.
Anna made an emotional entry, as she looked to Giles and gave him her special loving smile. The tears of happiness didn’t stop there, with everyone feeling the love a little more than usual with the wedding going ahead in the face of the pandemic.
They rode back in style to Bolton Percy in a cute wee 60s beetle, ready to light a load of sparklers and laugh in a few group shots before coming back inside for speeches as York’s Baba Ganoush served up. The speeches were incredible, as Anna delivered a heartfelt and very emotional speech, having the whole wedding in tears. It was a wonderful tribute to her husband, and his family, before jokers Dad and Brother hit the stage and had everyone laughing away.
What a day! To think, how brilliant this day was in the face of everything. Love absolutely wins, and what a wedding to show for it.
Congratulations Anna & Giles, thanks again for having me and I hope you love the pics!! x
