Yesterday I joined Dom and Caroline for their wedding at East Riddlesden Hall- one of my favourite wedding venues to shoot at! The National Trust owned 17th century manor in Keighley is so tranquil, colourful and vibrant and run by the most fantastic team of coordinators. I met D+C for our pre wedding shoot a month ago at The Hollies in Headingley, we got along so so well and took some lovely pics too of course, I was so excited to shoot their day!
We began over at Hollins Hall Hotel, Baildon for bridal preps where I met the girls for a chilled morning of getting ready. I loved Caroline’s dress of the Bridal Emporium in Leeds, its simplistic style was stunning. Caroline’s Dad surprised her with this beautiful vintage Chrysler to drive over to East Rid! And it was fun to see some vinyl gift giving too, as Caroline also surprised her Dad with a thank you gift of Feist’s latest album. I zipped over to our venue to meet Dom, looking calm, relaxed and beautiful in burgundy! The wonderful Stems Design’s had dressed up the barn, especially love the alter archway with hanging baubles – everyone go check Lynne’s fauna out – http://stemsdesign.co.uk/.
The ceremony swung into action as the sun came out just in time for congratulatory hugs, mingling and some sweet looking canapés, courtesy of Nomad Catering (who also served a a biblical brownie for dessert, absolute scorcher of a meal!) Speeches were in between courses, and all just as sweet as the dessert, especially Dom’s who’s touching words of their 13 year relationship brought Caroline to tears.
Then it was on into the night, as Irish band, The Wild Geese got everyone up for some traditional dancing. Nomad chief, James served up some proper pizzas to fuel the party, as the bar flowed out the booze as I went off home after a good load of dancing myself.
Congratulations Caroline and Dom! You’re both superstars and it was such a pleasure to capture your day. Hope you love the pics x
